HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR GARMENT
Each piece in our collection is handcrafted from carefully selected vintage kimono, giving it a second life as a modern, one-of-a-kind dress. Because of the age and nature of the fabric, we ask that you care for your garment gently and thoughtfully to preserve its beauty.
Dry Clean Only
Due to the delicate nature and unknown fiber content (likely silk), we strongly recommend taking your garment to a trusted dry cleaner.
No Machine Washing
Please do not machine wash under any circumstance. The delicate vintage kimono fabric may shrink, lose its texture, or become permanently damaged.
Handle With Clean Hands
Oils and dirt can easily transfer to the fabric. We recommend handling your garment with clean, dry hands to avoid stains or discoloration.
Steam With Caution
If your dress becomes wrinkled, use a garment steamer on a low setting at a safe distance. Do not apply direct heat or pressure, especially with an iron.
Air Out Occasionally
To keep the fabric fresh, let your garment air out occasionally in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, which may cause fading.
CAUTIONS & CONSIDERATIONS
Color Transfer
Some vintage dyes may be unstable. Please avoid wearing your garment in the rain or layering it over light-colored items that may absorb color.

Fabric Fragility
These vintage kimono fabrics carry time within their threads. They may be more fragile than modern textiles and are prone to snags or small tears if handled roughly.

Spot Cleaning
If you must treat a small stain at home, test a tiny hidden area first. Dab gently with a clean, dry cloth—never rub.

Storage
Store your garment in a cool, dry place. We recommend hanging it with a padded hanger or folding it gently with tissue paper to avoid creasing. Avoid plastic garment bags; breathable cotton covers are ideal.
A NOTE ON MATERIALS
As each garment is made from vintage kimono, the exact fiber content is often unknown. Many are made of silk, but we cannot guarantee this. If you have sensitivities or specific care concerns, please feel free to reach out—we’re happy to share more details about the fabric of your particular piece when possible.
